New cabin in construction!

Our new hut was delivered to the farm this week and we dove straight in to decorating! The interior walls have been charred and dyed following the Japanese wood treating method, Shou Sugi Ban. We have used this technique across the farm previously, taking discarded wood left in the barns on the farm to create vibrant, weather-resistant wood cladding. This time, we have gone for a softer finish, using lighter whites and blues. Stay tuned for more glimpses into our decoration process!...

Our 2025 camping license with Fireside Camping

We are proud to announce that this summer we became the first licensed member of the Fireside Camping Club by Nature's Law! Our license certifies Carr House Farm for use as as an eco-friendly campsite within North Yorkshire for the year 2025/26....

New loo with a view!

We have just completed construction of our new, and second, flushing toilet on site. This will take our total loo count to four (including our two compost toilets)! Now guests won't have to worry about tearing their eyes away from our gorgeous landscape when they pop to the loo. Take a look at the finished product......

New shower facilities at Pear Tree Hut!
